Spa, hot tub and whirlpool bath heaters with 1.9"" diameter stainless steel heater tubes use these 1.5"" MBT tailpiece connector with O-ring to connect a 1.5"" spa heater tube to the PVC pipe. 1.5"" tailpiece threads are 1.5"" MBT, which measure 2-3/8"" outside diameter to mate with standard spa heater 1.5"" union nuts, such as the HU-15FBTSN.
